Xsolla

Xsolla provides game-commerce products for developers and publishers. Pay Station is its payment checkout product; Xsolla Payments is the wider solution that groups Pay Station with supporting game-commerce tools. FAQ

Before you compare quotes

What is a high-risk payment provider?

It is a broad market label for a company that offers payment products to businesses facing additional underwriting, monitoring, chargeback, regulatory or financial-risk review. The useful question is which product and legal entity will serve the merchant: an acquirer, merchant-account provider, processor, gateway, payment facilitator, orchestrator or Merchant of Record.

Does appearing in the directory mean a provider will approve my business?

No. The directory shows the company's payment products and the markets or use cases identified for each one. Approval depends on the actual business, owners, websites, products, countries, currencies, transaction profile, processing history and the provider's current underwriting rules.

Is a payment gateway the same as a merchant account?

No. A gateway receives and transmits payment data. A merchant account or equivalent acquiring arrangement is the contractual route through which card transactions are accepted and settled. One company may sell both, but a gateway-only product does not create merchant-account approval.

Why are fees, reserves and settlement shown separately?

They affect different parts of the economics. Fees are charges, a reserve withholds funds as security, and settlement timing determines when the remaining proceeds reach the merchant. A low quoted rate can still be commercially difficult if the reserve or funding delay is too large.

Can one payment company have several provider roles?

Yes. A company may acquire transactions for one product, provide gateway technology for another, connect third-party providers through orchestration, and offer payouts or issuing separately. The selected product determines which role and agreement apply.
